Your Evidence Locker Was Empty

It's dark, gloomy, and raining outside.

The yellow tape has just finished wrapping one of the most jaw-dropping crime scenes in the history of the City of Dreams.

Another dream is presumed dead.

The evidence is undeniable. There wasn't much investigation required. The perpetrator is still alive and free, and to add insult to injury, nothing can be done.
The crime isn't technically illegal.
It isn't even unethical.

Yet the consequences can last for generations.

The victim didn't die overnight.

The dream bled out slowly.

"I'll start on Monday."
"I'll upload tomorrow."
"I'll get serious about my health after this season."
"I'll write the book when I have more time."
"I'll go after it when I finally believe in myself."

At first glance, these seem harmless.
But every broken promise leaves behind evidence.
Every delay creates a paper trail.
Every abandoned commitment becomes another exhibit in the case.

Most people think confidence is what solves this.

It isn't.

Confidence is evidence.

You do not trust yourself because you feel motivated.
You trust yourself because you've accumulated enough proof that your word means something.

One walk.
One workout.
One video.
One page.
One difficult conversation.
One promise kept.

Tiny promises. Repeated reps. Self-trust.

Over the past year and a half, I haven't rebuilt my health, my business, or my identity through giant, heroic actions. I've been collecting evidence.

Evidence that I can keep showing up.
Evidence that I can do hard things.
Evidence that I can become someone new.

The same is true for you.

Stop asking, "How do I become more confident?"

Start asking, "What evidence am I collecting today?"

If your confidence feels low, maybe your evidence locker has been a little empty lately.

That's okay.

Evidence can be gathered.

Trust can be rebuilt.

This is exactly why I created 100 Days, One You.

Not to help you become a different person overnight.
Not to motivate you into taking massive action.

It's a simple framework for collecting evidence.

Evidence that you can wake up and do the thing.
Evidence that you can keep a promise to yourself.
Evidence that you can show up imperfectly and still move forward.

One day at a time.
One promise at a time.
One rep at a time.
One hundred opportunities to prove to yourself that your word still has weight.

If you're ready to start gathering a different kind of evidence, you can begin by clicking here.

As I look at the yellow tape surrounding today's crime scene, I can't help but wonder how many dreams have been pronounced dead prematurely.

Because the evidence doesn't usually say, "This person wasn't capable."

The evidence says:
They stopped keeping promises to themselves.
They stopped showing up.
They stopped collecting proof that they could be trusted.

But evidence works both ways.

A dream can accumulate evidence of neglect.
It can also accumulate evidence of revival.

One walk.
One workout.
One video.
One page.
One difficult conversation.
One promise kept.

And maybe that's the real takeaway from today's investigation.

The caution tape isn't there to tell you your dream is dead.

It's there to mark the exact place where you can begin collecting new evidence.

If your confidence is simply a collection of evidence, what is one tiny promise you can keep today that future you can enter into evidence?

Peace Out, Peace In.
