Average is a Choice

The ability to bounce back after “falling off” is far more valuable than reaching gold in one perfect rush.

At first glance, that might sound like a cop-out. But hear me out.

If you’ve ever pursued something external, physical, or measurable, and in the process became stronger, sharper, and more disciplined, then you achieved something greater than the goal itself.

You didn’t just collect gold.
You forged yourself.

The warrior spirit is born in the valleys, not on the peaks.

Warrior skills are revealed when there are no other options, not when opportunities are endless.

A warrior’s outlook is shaped by pursuit, not comfort.

For a long time, after studying success story after success story, I assumed you either had to be born privileged or struggle dramatically to earn success.

Silver spoon or bootstrap story.

But what about the average person?

Most people are average.

And there’s nothing inherently wrong with that.

But if you want extraordinary outcomes, you cannot maintain average habits.
Yes, you can choose the easier path.
But I’m talking to those who want to create a reality beyond what they’ve personally experienced.

So here’s the truth:
Your averageness is what keeps you content.
You avoid challenge.
Your best ideas remain trapped in dreams.
Your environment fuels the same average engine every day.

And many of the goals you chase were handed to you by other average people whose lives you don’t even truly desire.

Your pursuit matters.

But more importantly, you must become someone slightly above average to reach it.

I’m not saying you need world domination, billions, or power.
Most people simply want freedom.

Time freedom.
Location freedom.
Financial freedom.

Maybe one. Maybe all three.

And yet, when you hear words like warrior, you assume it doesn’t apply to you.

You reflect on your past.

You remember where you fell off.

You decide your failures define you.

And through inaction, you quietly conclude you are not worthy.
Not capable.

But here’s what you’re missing:
The version of you that reaches the goal does not yet exist.
She is built through the pursuit.
She is forged every time you fall, get back up, and keep going.

You are not chasing a goal.

You are building a new self.

So warrior, what’s it going to be?

Stay average and resentful?

Or dust yourself off, again and again, until your pursuit transforms you into greatness?

One daily habit.
One daily promise.
One daily step toward becoming above average.

Until next Saturday,

Peace Out. Peace In.
