The Blue Pill, The Slipper, and the Search for Gold
You’ve been wearing a borrowed identity, molded by expectations, squeezing your truth into Cinderella’s glass slipper never designed for your feet.
It’s time to slip off the misfit slipper and step fully into your destiny.
Remember the movie The Matrix and the concept of the red pill and blue pill?
In this version, the red pill represents everything you’ve believed, embodied, and done to survive up until now. It’s familiar, but it’s also the loop that keeps you stuck in a story that isn’t truly yours.
The blue pill is the awakening. It’s the belief system, identity, and aligned actions that guide you toward who you were always meant to be.
Not someone else’s idea of a happy ending. Not a princess in a castle. But your own version of Cinderella, writing a story that finally fits.
Maybe you’ve been holding the blue pill in your hand for a while now feeling the pull, sensing the shift, but still lingering at the edge.
This is the year to stop rehearsing the version of you that’s only surviving and finally step into the one who’s ready to live aligned, awake, and whole.
Think about it: what story have you been writing this year? What does it reveal about what you believe you deserve, what you’re capable of, and where you’re headed?
I remember reading The Alchemist thirteen years ago, the first book I ever read in one sitting. I sat on the edge of my seat, waiting for Santiago to finally break through. And when I realized the treasure was within him all along, I was hooting and hollering like I had just discovered my own. That was one of my first awakenings, but not the last.
The same is true for you. The story you’re living doesn’t need new scenery…it needs a new level of self-trust. The treasure isn’t out there. It’s been with you all along.
Take a moment to sit with this. Not from guilt. Not from pressure. Just from truth.
Start with your beliefs.
What do I actually believe?
Did I choose these beliefs OR were they handed to me, pushed on me, or baked into me with the fear of being rejected if I questioned them?
Are these beliefs building the life I want or blocking it?
Now think about your identity.
Not the things you can’t change like your background, race, or childhood conditions.
I’m talking about the labels you’ve picked up along the way.
Do you see yourself as “bad with money”? A procrastinator? Too much? Not enough?
Have you clung to these labels like they’re facts or are you ready to release them?
Then ask yourself:
Have my actions or inactions been in alignment with the version of me I say I want to become?
Am I showing up like my star player or sleepwalking through the same old story?
Be honest.
Be real.
Don’t wait.
Do this reflection today.
Your next chapter depends on it.
Speaking of next chapters—think about Cinderella. After everything she went through, the slipper fit. Or The Matrix—Neo took the risk, swallowed the blue pill, and found out he was the One.
That moment of alignment didn’t come without resistance. They had to choose themselves first.
Same goes for you.
You’ve got to stop tripping over your own potential. Stop rehearsing doubt like it’s a part of your identity.
Answer the questions. Get real. Then take the next best step…whatever that looks like today. One step at a time is all it takes to shift the entire story.
If you’re ready to live this, not just think about it, I invite you to join me in the 100 Days, One You challenge.
One decision. One focus. One aligned version of you on repeat for 100 days.
Not to become someone new, but to remember who you’ve been all along.
Let this be the season where the slipper finally fits.
Not because you changed your foot but because you stopped shrinking to fit someone else’s fairytale.
Let’s write the next chapter in gold, together.
Peace out, Peace in.
