I Quit.

Week 5, Day 36 of my own 100-day challenge.

A challenge I created to habit stack my way into a better life.

The same challenge I’ve been using this newsletter to convince you to start—because I believed it could transform your life like it was transforming mine.

And yet…I quit.

I’m in the middle of Challenge 2 of my Fit, Fine, and (en)Rich(ed) habit-stacking journey. I set out to add two new habits: intermittent fasting and eating a salad daily. And my tracker? It showed the data, not the vibes.

Let me be clear: numbers do not lie.

(See my actual tracker below for the first 36 days—embarrassing, but real.)

Follow the Data, Not the Vibes.

These numbers were low-vibrational.

And to make things worse, I stopped tracking because I was embarrassed by how far off I was. I couldn’t knock it out of the park like I did in the first challenge.

I created this tracker for the sole purpose of self-accountability, but it’s turned into something much deeper: a lifestyle shift in spreadsheet form.

And just because I quit the trail doesn’t mean I quit the goal.

Nope. I’m rerouting—in a major way—thanks to one simple, Spirit-led conversation.

One Conversation Changed Everything

I was talking with another homeschool mom, and she shared how she has lost 40 pounds since December of 2024.

I’d seen her regularly and honestly hadn’t noticed, but we all carry weight differently— especially if you’re tall. Then she showed me her “before” photo, and I didn’t need any more convincing.

I asked: “What did you do, and for how long?”

She said, “Alternate Day Fasting (ADF) for about 6 weeks, then Intermittent Fasting (IF)—no eating after 3 p.m.”

She told me to watch Colleen Marie’s videos on ADF on YouTube. I’d been subscribed to Colleen for years, but after doing my own little fast, I skipped her videos so often that YouTube stopped recommending them.

Before I was sure ADF was not for me, but not today.

As they say, when the student is ready, the teacher appears.

Class is in session.

I Started the Next Day.

I prayed—and the feeling stayed. I knew this was what I needed to do.

At first, I thought I’d do 9 weeks of ADF, then 2 weeks of IF on and off until the end of the year.  That plan has changed. I’m sticking to it without breaks for the rest of the year.

And honestly? I’m not scared. I’m just done being the Queen of Clean-Your-Plate.

To commit to something like this, you have to be sick of your own nonsense

And that’s exactly where the road to transformation begins: at the intersection of frustration and clarity.

My Tracker? Brutally Honest.

It reminded me that this journey isn’t about vibes or good intentions.

It’s about real actions, real results, and honest reflections

This isn’t a cozy, coddling corner to baby your excuses.

This is about facing your fall-offs with truth, not fluff.

Does Life Happen? Absolutely.

But your response time—and the quality of your response—determines whether you’ll transform or stay the same.

Clarity allows you to receive divine direction.

If I had been distracted by my phone, I would’ve missed the moment that rerouted my entire journey. That one real-time connection created a shift that scrolling never could.

I’m Not Here to Sell You on ADF.

I’m here to push you off the ledge of “maybe tomorrow” and into devotion.  Not hype. Not emotion. Just quiet commitment to change—no matter what.

On my first fasting day, we celebrated my cousin’s high school graduation.  The menu? Beef ribs, fried fish, and roasted veggies.

On Day 1 of my fast.

I almost convinced myself to just lick the rib. (If you’ve never been on a fast before, the thoughts  and justifications can get weird. But don’t worry—that’s just your parasites talking) Stick to  the plan and just laugh at those wacko thoughts. You’re not crazy. You’re cleansing.

But instead of licking the rib? I packed a to-go plate and bragged about how it would be tomorrow’s breakfast.

And I passed that hurdle—on Day 1.

It hurt in the moment. It felt impossible.

But that was just training for every summer cookout and holiday to come.

I’m built for this.

A warrior spirit.

I’m not starving. I’m not depriving myself.

I’m devoted—by any means necessary.

Here’s the Truth:

You have to be honest with yourself.

If what you’re doing isn’t working, pivot—and pivot fast.

Do it prayerfully. Do it with clarity. But do it.

Keep moving the needle toward your dream self and dream life.

Because only you can limit you.

You hold the power to take back control.

This isn’t just about weight loss.

This is about empowerment

You don’t need approval to improve your life.

They’re your feet—so you have to move them.

I designed this 100-day tracker for the data, not the vibes.
